| Epic Systems | Legacy | Epic Reporting Workbench | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2012 | 2012 | In 2012, Altru implemented Epic Reporting Workbench as part of its Analytics and BI portfolio. Epic Reporting Workbench was provisioned to deliver clinical and operational reporting, scheduled report distribution and ad hoc query capabilities to support clinical and administrative business functions across the organization. The implementation leveraged in-house server build experience, including XML and .NET components, and configuration of master files and smarttools to produce report definitions and automated extract workflows. Master file build experience that informed the deployment included WDF, CER, ETX, LPP, ECL and related master files, and Reporting Workbench configuration was aligned with standard Analytics and BI patterns such as parameterized reports, saved searches and scheduled delivery. Operational coverage for Epic Reporting Workbench extended across clinical departments and administrative areas that were already supported by the Epic suite, including Family Practice, Pediatrics, OB, GI, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Urology, Wound Clinic, ENT, Therapy services, Pharmacy, Diabetes Center, Orthopedics, Prosthetics, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, NICU, ICU, Business Office, Patient Access and Medical Records, and into affiliate locations where Epic MyChart and EpicCare were in use. The relationship among Altru, Epic Reporting Workbench and Analytics and BI supported reporting needs tied to patient access, clinical workflow analysis, revenue cycle and medical records operations. Governance and operational ownership rested with senior system analysts who were Epic certified and acted as project managers, responsible for analysis, build, testing, implementation and ongoing support. Security setup and SER configuration, provider setup and master file governance were part of the rollout controls, and ongoing support and optimization were handled internally by the Epic certified analyst team. | |

| Epic Systems | Legacy | Epic Data Courier | Apps Development | PaaS | n/a | 2014 | 2014 | In 2014, Altru implemented Epic Data Courier as a core data movement and record integrity solution. Epic Data Courier, classified as Apps Development, was deployed to maintain consistent patient record state across testing, training, and production environments while supporting Epic HIM and Identity build, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance for Altru hospital and clinic, seven Altru branches, and thirteen affiliate hospitals and clinics. The implementation centered on Health Information Management workflows, with explicit configuration of HIM security constructs including security classes, Roles, SER records, EMP records, and templates to control access and auditing. Functional capabilities implemented alongside Epic Data Courier included record integrity tracking, Nova Notes Management, and support for an Epic ROI module, with system administration responsibilities extending to Windows server administration for third party applications. Integrations were executed with Hyland OnBase document management and multiple third party applications, and operational support was provided through ServiceNow for end user issue resolution. Technical activities documented during upgrades and operational cycles included reviewing Epic release notes, build changes, integrated testing, and updating Production environments, with Epic Data Courier used as the mechanism to synchronize records across environments. Governance and process changes were formalized through recurring cross application meetings to enforce regulatory, legal, and privacy standards while providing integrated clinical records. The rollout and lifecycle support model included participation in hospital and clinic Go Live events and iterative Epic upgrades, with local application analysts responsible for build, administration, troubleshooting, and coordination across sites. |
