In 2022, Aludyne Poland initiated implementation of IFS Cloud ERP at its Bielsko-Biała production plant, a 220 employee facility within the Aludyne Group. The project was executed with InfoConsulting as the systems integrator and served as a pilot implementation intended to provide a repeatable baseline for potential roll-outs to other Aludyne sites in Europe, aligning the deployment to the ERP Financial category.
The implementation included comprehensive functional modifications across finance, production, and distribution, plus changes to mobile workflows and operational reporting. The team performed localization to the Polish market for sales and finance using defined objects and events, and ran two pre-production upgrades to validate IFS Cloud BI communication with external systems, with the configuration environment for production work beginning on May 1.
Architecturally the deployment used the IFS Cloud SaaS model and included dedicated database and technical engineering oversight during the transition, with InfoConsulting providing background checks before and after go live. The project confronted limited access to earlier environments, prompting a hybrid methodology to maintain data continuity and minimize risk, and leveraged InfoConsulting’s Center of Excellence capabilities for application development training and planned managed services and database administration support.
Governance was formalized through joint implementation teams on the client and SI sides, explicit scope confirmation, and a methodology selection process aimed at an expedited path to production. The project achieved a production go live in May 2023 following the 2022 decision to upgrade from earlier IFS releases such as IFS Applications 8, the production environment proved stable after two weeks of monitoring, and InfoConsulting completed handover while remaining positioned to support future rollouts and ongoing managed services for the IFS Cloud ERP implementation in the ERP Financial domain.
