NEC Corporation Legacy NetCracker Technology Digital Business Enablement OSS/BSS ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 America Movil engaged NEC Corporation and Netcracker to deploy NetCracker Technology Digital Business Enablement as a consolidated OSS/BSS program across its Latin American operators. The program was scoped as an end-to-end OSS solution on the Netcracker Framework covering Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, and included deployment of an international long-distance network across Latin America. The implementation prioritized standardization of OSS platforms to create a unified operational model across multiple national operators. NetCracker Technology Digital Business Enablement was configured to deliver core OSS/BSS functional modules, including Resource Inventory, Discovery & Reconciliation, Outside Plant, Service Information Management, Service Order Management, Service Inventory, Asset Management and Network Planning & Design. Modules were delivered on the Netcracker Framework to provide consistent data models, canonical inventories and service lifecycle orchestration capabilities across the suite. The configuration emphasized inventory consolidation, reconciled discovery processes and integrated service order workflows consistent with typical OSS/BSS architectures. Deployment architecture was centralized on the Netcracker Framework while supporting multi-operator operational domains, enabling shared service inventory and standardized service information management across participating countries. The program included integration points with network layer systems associated with the international long-distance network and with operational processes for service provisioning and network planning. Operational scope spanned AMX commercial and engineering business functions responsible for inventory management, service fulfillment, network planning and asset management. Governance for the program was structured as a large-scale transformation across AMX Latin American operators with NEC Corporation and Netcracker providing delivery leadership, and rollout plans aimed at consolidating and standardizing OSS platforms. Stated business objectives included accelerating time-to-market, improving business agility and delivering an improved customer experience. Implementation emphasized cross-operator process harmonization and centralized inventory and order management on the Netcracker Framework.
