In 2013, Antargaz implemented Oracle OBIEE as its primary Analytics and BI tool for corporate reporting. Oracle OBIEE was configured to act as the requestor and central reporting layer supporting finance and asset management reporting for a 1,100 employee utilities provider in France.
The implementation focused on canonical BI capabilities, with a semantic layer and subject areas mapped to financial and fixed asset domains. Configurations included interactive dashboards, ad hoc analysis, and scheduled batch reports to standardize financial reporting and immobilization reporting workflows.
Oracle OBIEE was fed by finance and asset data sources explicitly identified in the environment, including JD Edwards for accounting data and Sage 1000 for immobilization data, with end user outputs consumed via Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Data integration used direct data feeds and staged reporting views to preserve consistency between source ledgers and the OBIEE repository.
Governance centered on a centralized report catalog and requestor model, with finance ownership of report definitions and change control for semantic layer updates. Role based access and scheduled distribution were used to align report delivery with accounting and asset management operational processes.
