| TransferMate | Legacy | TransferMate Platform | AP Automation, AR Automation | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Appian deployed the TransferMate Platform as part of its finance systems stack to address cross-border payment orchestration and automation needs. Appian is a business process automation platform and the TransferMate Platform deployment was managed through the Finance and Corporate systems team led by the Senior Financial Systems Manager.
The TransferMate Platform was configured to support AP and AR automation workflows consistent with AP Automation,AR Automation functional patterns, including payment execution orchestration, automated remittance handling, and accounts receivable cash application flows. Configuration emphasized integration points rather than standalone replacement, and the TransferMate Platform was instrumented alongside existing finance automation components to streamline end to end payment processes.
Integrations were implemented with NetSuite and OpenAir as part of the deployment, and the TransferMate Platform was rolled out to Appian international subsidiaries to centralize cross-border payment processing. The implementation operated in concert with other finance systems and vendor tools already in Appian’s estate, including Concur and tax, billing and incentive systems referenced by the finance team.
Governance and control were established under existing SOX change management procedures for financial systems, with the Senior Financial Systems Manager overseeing audit readiness, compliance meetings, and coordination with external contractors and internal IT and finance teams. The project is recorded as successfully rolled out to international entities and incorporated into Appian’s broader finance automation and reporting processes.

| Beamery | Legacy | Beamery | Candidate Relationship Management | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Appian implemented Beamery as a Candidate Relationship Management platform to support employer branding and recruitment marketing. Appian uses Beamery to power the AppianLIFE Influencer Program, which began with 34 founding members at the end of 2018 and expanded to over 145 employees, with Beamery serving as the source of truth for influencer profiles and participation preferences. The platform stores profile data that indicates employee interests, for example whether individuals prefer writing blogs or participating in video campaigns.
The configuration emphasizes Beamery profile management, campaign functionality, and Beamery Pages. Campaign functionality is used to deliver monthly curated newsletters to internal influencers for social sharing, and profile attributes are leveraged to match employees to content activities and outreach. Beamery Pages are implemented as content hubs for recruitment team newsletters, enabling the recruitment team to publish hard to fill roles, feature video content, surface employee quotes, and distribute best practice guidance.
Operational scope centers on employer brand, recruitment marketing, and talent acquisition teams, with Beamery profiles governing participation workflows and content distribution. The rollout approach began with the influencer program and expanded into Pages after strong internal feedback, creating a centralized mechanism for sourcing authentic employee content. Appian continues to rely on Beamery as the operational platform for influencer engagement and recruitment communications.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle Netsuite OpenAir | Professional Services Automation | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 |
In 2017, Appian implemented Oracle Netsuite OpenAir to centralize project accounting and professional services finance under a single Professional Services Automation platform. The deployment followed an ERP evaluation that led the finance team to replace PeopleSoft, and the Senior Financial Systems Manager led the end-to-end NetSuite and OpenAir delivery within the finance and corporate systems organization.
The implementation configured Oracle Netsuite OpenAir alongside NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management, NetSuite multibook configuration for 605 & 606 reporting, and project-centric modules typical of Professional Services Automation such as project accounting, time and expense capture, and resource billing. Appian also instrumented custom Appian applications to integrate with NetSuite and OpenAir, supporting automated revenue compliance workflows and centralized financial transaction processing.
Integrations implemented as part of the program included Concur for expense management, Xactly for incentive compensation, Vertex for sales tax, AMEX Pay, and TransferMate for international payments, with OpenAir, Concur, and TransferMate specifically rolled out for Appian international subsidiaries. The scope covered management of all Appian international entities in NetSuite and operational support for year-end and quarterly audit reporting across global finance teams.
Governance and control were formalized to meet SOX and audit requirements, the team established SOX-related change management procedures and managed intensive audit and SEC reporting needs tied to Appian's IPO launch. The rollout was executed with weekly executive reporting to the CFO, coordinated external contractors and internal IT and finance teams, and prioritized revenue recognition compliance via NetSuite ARM and multibook configurations.
