In 2012, Aquestive Therapeutics, formerly MonoSol Rx, implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial system. The Senior Manager Information Technologies drove the ERP upgrade, developing a phased rollout plan, coordinating user requirement sessions and vendor demonstrations, and guiding a finance project team in collaboration with a third party Microsoft VAR.
Configuration and functional work focused on finance and project tracking capabilities. The project restructured the general ledger chart of accounts and implemented the Analytical Accounting module for project-level tracking, performed historical and current year data conversions via SQL scripting for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, inventory, and fixed assets, and rebuilt financial reporting by replacing FRx with Microsoft Management Reporter and recreating management reports to align with the new chart structure.
Integration and interim process development were central to operationalizing Microsoft Dynamics GP. Engineering built scripted integrations for Paylocity payroll imports, Concur expense system integrations, and Bank of America Positive Pay extracts using VB scripting, while implementing short term solutions to bridge gaps in purchase order entry, manufacturing and bill of materials management, and inventory management until subsequent ERP phases delivered full functionality. SQL database administration supported both the ERP system and a financial reporting data warehouse, and the program included plans to integrate Paramounts Workplace requisitioning system into Microsoft Dynamics GP to replace manual requisition processes.
Governance and operational readiness combined IT management and infrastructure modernization to support the ERP Financial deployment. Oversight covered supervision of internal and outsourced IT staff, coordination of IT budgets with finance, and daily monitoring of network and server performance across MonoSol locations including the Warren headquarters and New Jersey research and development labs, while infrastructure changes included virtualization with VMWare vSphere and Veeam backups, Cisco ASA firewalls and layer 3 switches, expanded Exchange servers, and upgraded internet connectivity to support Microsoft Dynamics GP.
