| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Arch Capital Group implemented Workday Absence Management as part of its Phase 1 global Workday HCM deployment. The deployment moved into an in-house support model when a Senior Workday Consultant transitioned after serving as HCM lead, establishing ownership for post-implementation support and optimization.
The Workday Absence Management implementation was configured alongside Core HCM, Core and Advanced Compensation, Time and Absence, Payroll, Reporting and Analytics, and Security modules to provide integrated Absence and Leave Management capability. Configuration work addressed absence types, leave plans, accrual schedules, authorization workflows and configurable calendars, aligning absence administration with standard Workday HCM patterns. Workday Absence Management was positioned as the authoritative source for leave entitlement enforcement and HR case handling.
Integrations were implemented to synchronize absence records with payroll and to feed reporting and analytics, reflecting the stated integration scope. Interfaces and inbound feeds for timekeeping and payroll processing were coordinated within the broader Workday HCM integration framework. Data security and role based access were mapped to Workday security domains to control absence visibility across HR and payroll teams.
Operational governance moved to an in-house model with centralized absence governance, structured support and an optimization roadmap managed by the internal Workday lead. The program emphasized formalized workflows between HR operations, payroll operations and reporting teams to standardize leave administration under the Absence and Leave Management application.

In 2021, Arch Capital Group deployed DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing solution on its public website. Arch Capital Group uses DocuSign eSignature to enable electronically signed documents for client interactions and contract execution, establishing a web-based signing channel for external counterparties.
The implementation leverages DocuSign eSignature core capabilities including web-embedded signing, template-driven envelope construction, recipient routing, authentication options, and tamper-evident audit trails. Configuration focused on envelope workflow definitions, template management, and audit trail capture, reflecting standard Digital Signing operational practices.
Integration is implemented at the website layer using DocuSign eSignature APIs to present documents, collect signatures, and return execution status to web workflows. Operational coverage centers on external client-facing contract workflows and impacts business functions such as legal, underwriting intake, sales, and client onboarding.
Governance and process changes emphasize centralized signature governance, role-based administration for template and envelope ownership, and retention of complete audit logs for compliance and evidentiary support. The rollout standardized web-based document execution and signing processes across client touchpoints.
