| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Archroma implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial application. The deployment was driven by the Global Head Data Governance & Analytics role, which explicitly included responsibility for SAP MDG and BW/4 HANA implementation as part of the SAP S/4 HANA roadmap, positioning master data management and enterprise analytics as core components of the program.
The implementation combined SAP MDG configuration for centralized master data governance with BW/4 HANA for reporting and analytics, alongside a formalized data quality and data governance framework. Functional capabilities introduced or managed during the rollout included process mining, advanced forecasting, inventory rebalancing, and analytics tied to the Suitability initiative to provide transparency on CO2e across the supply chain.
Integrations and operational coverage focused on aligning SAP S/4 HANA, SAP MDG and BW/4 HANA with business process domains such as SCM, SAM, R&D / I2I and Procurement, enabling shared master data and analytical workflows across finance and supply chain functions. Integration management and cross-functional process alignment were explicit responsibilities, supporting governance, data literacy and analytics adoption across sites and teams.
Governance implementation included defining a global Data & Analytics strategy and roadmap, creating policies and procedures to enable user-driven data and analytical processes, and building a data management and analytics team. The program encompassed budget management, stakeholder management, risk and resource oversight, and it supported the business during the COVID 19 period by optimizing supply chain operations and cash flow.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP BW/4HANA | Data Warehouse | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Archroma implemented SAP BW/4HANA as its Data Warehouse to establish a central analytics and governance platform supporting the companys global Data Governance and Analytics agenda. The deployment was positioned as part of the broader S/4HANA roadmap, with responsibility for both SAP MDG and SAP BW/4HANA managed under the Global Head Data Governance & Analytics function.
The SAP BW/4HANA implementation focused on core Data Warehouse capabilities including data modeling, extraction and transformation logic, a semantic reporting layer, and integration points for master data governance. Functional capabilities introduced under the initiative included data quality controls, data lineage and governance building blocks, and an analytics practice that incorporated Process Mining, Advanced Forecasting, and Inventory rebalancing workflows.
Integrations and operational coverage were aligned with end to end business processes across Supply Chain Management, Sales and Marketing, R and D I2I, and Procurement, ensuring the SAP BW/4HANA Data Warehouse fed downstream planning and reporting and received master reference data from SAP MDG. The program explicitly supported supply chain transparency workstreams, including a Suitability initiative that tracked CO2e related data to surface improvement opportunities.
Governance and rollout activities centered on defining policies and procedures for data ownership, developing a dedicated data management and analytics team, and enabling users through process alignment and training. Program responsibilities included budget, stakeholder, risk, resource and integration management, and the platform was used to support business needs during the COVID 19 period for SCM optimization and cash flow management.
