Operationally the implementation centered on the Accounts Payable organization, where an Accounts Payable Coordinator aligned testing and training tasks and coordinated directly with analysts and suppliers to ensure timely and correct payment processing on a daily basis. Physical rollout logistics included coordination with Facilities and Consolidation to arrange A/P paperwork, computers, seating charts, moving bins, and filing cabinets for a site move from building 3 to building 1 executed in April of 2015.
Governance combined cross functional test plans, staged user training, and hands on backlog remediation, with the team completing a five week backlog within three weeks after initial onboarding at Arrow. Core functional capabilities implemented included job scheduling, dependency management, job orchestration, and operational monitoring tied to ETL workflows, with reusable transformations and mapplets developed to standardize mapping logic.
Architecturally the solution was operated on Unix platforms and integrated directly with Informatica 9.1 and 9.64, Oracle and Teradata data stores, and the enterprise data warehouse to trigger and manage data loads from consumption operational data sources. AppWorx Workload Automation connected source systems and the EDW to centralize orchestration for a global footprint serving customers across more than 460 locations in 56 countries, and it supported data engineering and BI teams responsible for downstream reporting.
Governance and delivery practices emphasized translating business requirements into low level design, preparing source to target mapping documentation, and coordinating daily meetings and status calls with business analysts and source system work streams. Testing and quality analysis were embedded in the rollout, and ownership included close collaboration with senior analysts of both source and EDW systems to validate technical specifications and operational readiness.
