In 2020, Arteak implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its cloud ERP Financial platform, migrating from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Business Central Online and moving deployment to Microsoft Azure. The migration was prompted by accounting accuracy issues in the NAV version, inability to match trial balances, hosting provider restrictions on development access, and incompatibility with HMRC mandated electronic VAT submissions.
Dynamics Square upgraded and configured Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to centralize finance and accounting workflows, including general ledger reconciliation, trial balance alignment, balance sheet and profit and loss reporting, and automated tax invoice generation for email distribution. Customizations and integrations were delivered to connect financial ledgers with sales and customer management records, and to enable Making Tax Digital compliant VAT reporting directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Operational coverage focused on Arteak headquarters in London while supporting the companys national and international HSSE consulting and operational services, with core business functions impacted being finance, accounting, sales, customer management, and production process automation. The cloud architecture of Business Central Online provided anywhere access for employees, removed prior hosting constraints, and centralized control and safety of ERP data through Microsoft Azure hosting.
Governance and change management were supported by Dynamics Square through hands on training, configuration guidance, and post go live support to help Arteak staff adopt the new workflows. Post implementation Arteak reported that the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment performed without lag, enabled accurate turnover and cost allocation reconciliation, simplified income versus expenditure analysis, automated production related processes, and permitted direct electronic submission of VAT returns to HMRC along with faster distribution of financial statements.
