In 2015 Arvesta initiated a formal study to select an AR Collections engine for the AVEVE group, launching a vendor evaluation that ran from September 2015 to February 2016. The work concluded with selection of FIS GETPAID as the targeted application for accounts receivable collections, positioning FIS GETPAID within Arvesta’s AR Automation strategy.
The implementation focus centered on AR Collections functionality and integration with the existing SAP FI financial ledger, configuring FIS GETPAID to orchestrate automated collections workflows. Functional capabilities scoped in the study and early configuration planning included prioritized worklists, aging and customer segmentation, collector productivity tooling, contact and promise-to-pay tracking, and collections queue automation consistent with AR Automation best practices.
The vendor selection process included RFI exercises, product demos, customer reference visits, and a formal RFP, with side-by-side analysis of SAP FSCM, GetPaid, OnGuard, Credit Tools, and Sidetrade. Integration planning explicitly emphasized real-time and batch interfaces into SAP FI for account status, invoices, payments, and credit holds, aligning the FIS GETPAID deployment to the finance and credit control processes within Arvesta’s accounts receivable organization.
Project initiation established governance for a phased delivery and systems integration effort, with defined selection phases and handoff to implementation planning. The narrative documents study outcomes and project initiation activities, leaving detailed rollout sequencing and operational metrics to subsequent implementation phases.

In 2018, Arvesta implemented Kofax ReadSoft Process Director for SAP, a Document Management solution, to standardize document capture and billing workflows inside its SAP landscape. The deployment focused on automating invoice intake, optical character recognition and data extraction, validation rules, and workflow orchestration to feed transactional postings into SAP FI/CO and document flows into SD/MM.
Kofax ReadSoft Process Director for SAP was configured for invoice validation, three way matching and exception routing, with configurable business rules to classify billing documents and surface blocking issues. Configuration emphasized capture accuracy, automated posting where validations passed, and exception queueing for accounts payable and billing teams to resolve, aligning ReadSoft processing with SAP master data and purchasing document flows.
Integrations explicitly included SAP FI/CO and SD/MM modules to support end to end billing and provisioning processes, and the implementation supported operational reporting by finance and billing groups. BI reports were produced for the management team where billing documents and related blocking issues were categorized, and ageing reports plus substantiation of provisioning calculations were used for month and year end closure activities.
Governance and process change centered on formalizing exception handling and reporting workflows, enabling business analysts and finance owners to prioritize remediation and process improvements. The ReadSoft integration with SAP provided a structured document management layer that improved traceability of billing documents and supported the finance organization in reconciling ageing and provisioning activities.
