In 2001, Ascension implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as an ERP Financial deployment to consolidate multiple accounting systems into a single financials application. The initiative targeted core finance and accounting functions to centralize transaction processing and standardize financial workflows across finance teams.
The deployment included PeopleSoft v9.1 and followed a full-cycle methodology with design, build, test, train, deployment, break fix, and production support phases. Functional scope explicitly covered Travel and Expenses, Accounts Payable, and Asset Management, with configuration work, development and modification of queries for end users, and preparation and execution of test cases to validate configurations and enhancements.
Operational delivery involved coordination with an offshore technical team and close liaison between end users and IT to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Governance and operational coverage included structured user acceptance testing, prompt defect triage and retesting during UAT, end user training, and a production support framework governed by service level agreements for ticket resolution.
Ascension completed the Oracle PeopleSoft ERP implementation on time and on budget, and the consolidation into PeopleSoft financials reduced cost and improved efficiency. Ongoing production support and established testing cycles supported operational stability after go live.

The implementation positioned the Equifax CaseBuilder Platform as a system for handling transactional HR case work and compliance-related case intake within a healthcare enterprise context.
Functional capabilities implemented include case intake and routing for unemployment claims, document management for subpoenas and legal requests, audit workflows for personnel file maintenance, and structured processes for I-9 administration and employment verification. The platform was used to coordinate position management requests, AdHocs bonus payouts and recoups, Mass Data Changes, Service Now cases, severance packet creation and edits, and the generation of verification letters for PSLF, Nurse Corp Loan, TN Visa and other work authorization needs.
Operationally, Equifax CaseBuilder Platform was leveraged by HR Operations staff including Organization Effectiveness Partners, Associate Relations Specialists, HR Assistants, and HR Partners, and it coordinated across Ascension Legal, contract immigration groups, department management and sponsored associates. The deployment supported direct interaction with external agencies, specifically enabling timely responses to Texas Workforce Commission unemployment claims through EQUIFAX CaseBuilder, and it worked alongside the Ascension Portal for electronic I-9 completion and tracking.
Governance and process changes were explicit in the rollout, with monthly and biweekly audits of personnel files such as Employee Class and PTO FLTO audits, quarterly I-9 training for HR staff, and quality checks in reporting corrective actions and policy violations. The Equifax CaseBuilder Platform for Case Management was used to enforce consistent HR operational procedures, to coordinate administrative support across sites, and to ensure timely compliance handling for unemployment claims and information requests.
