The deployment aligned with an analytics and reporting-focused team model, and the Applications Analyst - Reporting role was staffed to develop and deliver reporting solutions drawn from the organization’s Electronic Health Record and associated operational systems.
The implementation used Epic Reporting Workbench as the core reporting engine and relied on the broader Epic Cogito toolset, explicitly including Cogito SQL for extract and query work, Radar Dashboards for visualization, and SlicerDicer for ad hoc cohort analysis. Configuration emphasized report reuse versus proliferation, scheduled and on-demand report delivery patterns, and SQL-based data extracts where complex relational joins were required, consistent with the job description expectation of Microsoft SQL Server familiarity.
