SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software) Legacy Sopra Amplitude Up (ex Delta) Core Banking ERP Services and Operations SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software) 2017 2018
In 2017, Attijariwafa Bank implemented Sopra Amplitude Up (ex Delta) as its Core Banking system to support the bank's launch in Egypt and a broader global IT transformation programme. The Sopra Amplitude Up implementation was executed on a 13-month timeline and reached go-live in Egypt on 10 June 2018. The programme covered the full range of banking activities, with configuration and deployment addressing account and customer management, deposits, lending, payments and transaction processing, product configuration and core ledger capabilities consistent with Core Banking implementations. Implementation work was led by SBS (ex-Sopra Banking Software), which acted as programme manager for the Middle East and North Africa region and provided end-to-end delivery oversight. Operational scope extended across front-office and back-office banking functions to support the Egypt market launch while aligning to Attijariwafa Bank's global IT objectives, impacting retail and corporate business lines and operations teams. The Sopra Amplitude Up deployment centralized core transaction processing and product administration to establish a consistent operational backbone for the new market. Governance and rollout were coordinated by SBS as programme manager in the MENA region, following a phased delivery approach to meet the 13-month schedule. The project concluded with improved operational efficiency and customer experience following the 10 June 2018 go-live.
