Sage Pastel Accounting was positioned as the primary financial ledger and day to day accounting application for the organization. The implementation focused on standard financial modules typical for ERP Financial systems, including general ledger configuration, accounts receivable and payable workflows, bank reconciliation, invoice processing, and VAT reporting. Operational tasks documented for the role included write ups and data processing, bookkeeping, processing invoices, and drafting financial statements using Draftworx as the statement drafting tool in the accounting workflow. The configuration supported month end close routines and production of return data used for SARS compliance. Integrations and operational coverage were defined around adjacent tools and statutory workflows rather than broad system landscape changes. Audit Connection used Draftworx for financial statement drafting alongside Sage Pastel Accounting and produced outputs for SARS E Filing submissions covering returns for VAT, IRP, and EMP. Governance and process responsibilities were assigned to an accounting clerk role responsible for data capture, filing, face to face client services, and the end to end bookkeeping and submission preparation processes.
