UKG Legacy UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager) Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, Austin Regional Clinic implemented UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager (ex Kronos Workforce Absence Manager). The deployment targeted Absence and Leave Management for a 2000 employee healthcare organization, covering clinical and administrative workforce scheduling, timekeeping, and absence administration functions. The implementation encompassed Kronos Workforce Central components running on WFC 6.1 with an upgrade path to WFC 7.0, and included core modules such as Timekeeper, Leave, and Navigators. Customization and programmatic logic were developed using WIM programming language, and a library of SQL reports was established to operationalize accruals, exceptions, and absence rule execution within UKG Workforce Central Absence Manager. Integration with ADP HR Payroll was implemented to synchronize employee master data and produce payroll ready absence records, and SQL extracts were consumed by IBM Cognos Analytics and IBM Cognos Business Intelligence Report Studio for operational and BI reporting. The broader HRIS environment documented alongside the deployment included Ultipro and Work Brain, which were present in the ecosystem but not described as direct interfaces in the source notes. Operational governance emphasized HR and payroll adjacent functions and timekeeper workflows, with the WFC 6.1 to WFC 7.0 upgrade used as a focal point for stabilizing absence policy configuration. Navigator driven workflows and centralized rule sets were configured to align absence processing with HR processes, while WIM based adjustments supported tailored reporting and business rule enforcement.

Epic Systems Legacy EPIC EHR Electronic Health Record ERP Services and Operations n/a 2013 2014
In 2013, Austin Regional Clinic implemented EPIC EHR as its Electronic Health Record platform, initiating a focused training and rollout program that ran through July 2013 to January 2014. The EPIC Implementation Trainer delivered job specific classroom training and served as a central resource for curriculum development during the implementation phase. Training and configuration work emphasized integrating clinical workflows, processes, and system functionality into practical user training, with the trainer updating and maintaining systems manuals and end user documentation throughout implementation. Curriculum maintenance continued through system upgrades and optimization, reflecting ongoing configuration alignment between software behavior and operational procedures. Operational coverage included hospital employees and clinic clinical and administrative staff, with training oriented toward clinical documentation workflows, patient care process alignment, and routine system use by care teams. Activities supported clinical operations and patient care functions, embedding EHR workflow practices into daily staff activities. Governance and execution were coordinated under the Principal Trainer and EPIC Analyst Training Manager structure, with the trainer providing ongoing support, system maintenance guidance, and assistance to users in developing best practices and optimization goals. These efforts were intended to ensure EPIC EHR delivered the desired level of patient care while preserving system workflow understanding across the organization.

Epic Systems Legacy Epic Caboodle (ex Cogito Data Warehouse) Data Warehouse Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2015
Austin Regional Clinic implemented Epic Caboodle in 2015. The Data Warehouse deployment established a dimensional data warehouse integrated with the organization’s Electronic Health Record system, leveraging EPIC Clarity, Epic Caboodle, Cubes, Oracle and SQL Server in a multi server environment. Implementation scope centered on the EPIC Caboodle dimensional model and associated reporting layers. The deployment included Caboodle hosted on SQL Server as the enterprise Data Warehouse, Clarity on Oracle as the EPIC reporting extract, and analytic Cubes for downstream consumption. ETL pipelines were designed, monitored and remediated to move data from the EPIC OLTP into Clarity and into the Caboodle data store, and a targeted project converted data types across more than 1500 Clarity tables to align with EPIC schema requirements. Operational coverage extended across enterprise reporting, database administration and security functions. The team developed reporting and analytic capabilities that provided a more efficient and easier reporting environment integrated with the Electronic Health Record system, and also delivered a full stack Risk Assessment web application to support the Security Team. Database Administrators managed SQL Server and Oracle instances, supporting backups and restores, maintenance, performance monitoring and query optimization to maintain availability. Project governance used JIRA for Agile deliverable tracking, with leadership across planning, deployment and sustained support phases. Regular version upgrades were planned and executed for Clarity, Caboodle and related components to introduce features and fix defects, while database administration processes and cross team coordination were institutionalized to ensure seamless database systems availability across the organization.
