In 2016 Avidbots implemented BambooHR Time Off to automate Paid Time Off and time-tracking, using BambooHR Time Off to centralize leave administration. The deployment targeted HR operations at Avidbots, a Canadian manufacturing company with approximately 200 employees, and leveraged Absence and Leave Management capabilities to standardize PTO request, approval and accrual processes.
The implementation used BambooHR Time Off alongside broader BambooHR modules for onboarding and document storage, configuring PTO accrual rules, request workflows, time-tracking records, and employee document management. Functional configuration focused on automated time-off balances, electronic request and approval flows, and consolidation of personnel documents to support onboarding and compliance activities.
Governance and operational coverage remained within HR, where approval workflows and daily time accounting were centralized to reduce manual processing. Outcomes reported in the vendor case study include saving the HR manager about 1.5 hours per day and freeing roughly $40,000 in capacity for other HR work, outcomes that were described as reallocated HR capacity rather than system ROI metrics.

The cloud SaaS deployment established Onit SimpleLegal as the legal team's system of record for in-house legal operations at the 200 employee manufacturing company, providing a centralized application to manage corporate legal workflows.
Onit SimpleLegal was configured to support core legal operations capabilities common to Legal Practice Management, including matter intake and triage, matter management, contract lifecycle tracking, e billing and spend visibility, vendor invoice tracking, and operational reporting. The implementation emphasized configurable intake workflows and matter assignment rules to formalize requests into the legal queue, and dashboards to surface matter and spend status to counsel and legal operations staff.
The deployment coexists with the enterprise commercial stack, where Sales uses Salesforce and an outreach stack including Salesloft, Zoominfo, DiscoverOrg, Everstring, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Leadfeeder, and Marketing uses HubSpot. Governance was centered inside the legal function, with role based access controls, intake approval routing to General Counsel and Legal Operations, and process documentation to standardize handoffs between legal, sales and marketing touchpoints.
