Guidewire Legacy Guidewire Canvas Insurance Claims Management ERP Services and Operations Ernst & Young 2015 2015
In 2015, AXA Tianping implemented Guidewire Canvas for Insurance Claims Management. The deployment was part of AXA Asia's broader claims business transformation initiative and was led by Ernst & Young in China in close collaboration with Guidewire, with the objective of standardizing claims workflows and accelerating digital claims processing across its property and casualty operations. Guidewire Canvas was configured to support Personal and Commercial Auto lines and was brought live at 10 branches covering the provinces of Shandong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and the city of Shanghai, with a planned roll out to all 27 branches. The regional deployment focused on centralizing claims intake, improving claims tracking, and creating consistent case management processes to increase visibility across branch operations. Functional capabilities implemented included structured claims intake and data capture, automated claims handling workflows, real time online processing and enhanced claims tracking, reflecting core Insurance Claims Management functionality. The implementation emphasized making claims data easier to capture and access, automating steps in the adjudication workflow to reduce cycle times, and improving operational transparency to help decrease fraud and leakage. Ernst & Young executed a phased roll out in partnership with Guidewire and AXA Tianping, embedding governance to standardize claims handling procedures and train branch teams on the new workflows. The program was positioned to increase operational efficiency, improve customer service responsiveness, and advance AXA Tianping's digitalization of its claims operations.
