The implementation was supported by postproduction subject matter expertise covering Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Recruiting, Position Budgeting and Absence Management, aligning absence processes with the broader human capital architecture.
Configuration work centered on standard Workday Absence Management constructs and workflows, including time off request handling, accrual and eligibility rules, and absence plan configurations. The engagement included data conversions to populate worker absence balances, validation options to ensure accrual and leave accuracy, and the design of reporting solutions to surface absence trends and compliance data within Workday Absence Management and adjacent HCM modules.
Operational integration tied absence administration into Core HR, Benefits, Payroll and Time Tracking processes inside the Workday HCM suite, enabling coordinated leave and pay outcomes through common worker records and shared business events. The scope covered HR and payroll process owners and operational teams responsible for benefits administration and timekeeping, with the absence module functioning as the system of record for leave usage and entitlements.
Governance activities were led through a client-facing project approach that recommended architectural improvements, defined conversion and validation controls, and established reporting governance for absence data. Postproduction support responsibilities included sustaining configuration, resolving transactional discrepancies between absence and payroll, and maintaining validation and reporting frameworks for ongoing Absence and Leave Management operations.

In 2019, Bank of America implemented AppWorx Workload Automation. AppWorx Workload Automation, classified as Business Process Management, was deployed to support production batch orchestration and Credit Risk operations at the Plano, TX site.
The implementation included on-premises infrastructure provisioning and application installation on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with virtual machines built on VMware ESXi. System administration responsibilities documented during the implementation covered server installation and patching, Red Hat installs using Kickstart (NFS, FTP, HTTP), NFS share configuration, and MySQL server installation and administration to support AppWorx runtime dependencies.
Operational capabilities implemented centered on job scheduling, monitoring, and recovery workflows. Teams used AppWorx Workload Automation alongside Autosys for scheduled job troubleshooting, applying JIL script updates to change schedules, force starting jobs and investigating long running jobs by inspecting historical runs and log files. Monitoring and operational dashboards referenced in the environment included QZdesktop with Sparck dashboard, Bob monitor, Hugs monitor, and Sandra monitor, with database queries and updates executed via TOAD as part of problem resolution.
Release and governance practices integrated source control and automation, with SVN Subversion used to retrieve code during deployment and Ansible playbooks and roles used for provisioning and repetitive configuration tasks. Daily operational governance covered user and group setup, NFS file system management, TCP/IP and DNS troubleshooting, and documented root cause analysis for recurring job failures to support production stability.
