Standardized daily processes were operationalized in Temenos T24 for ATM balancing, reconciliation of cash accounts and ATM reconciliation, and the submission of daily cash accounts reports.
Temenos T24 was operated alongside the E.P.S (Easy Pay System Switch) to support ATM switch connectivity and was used to coordinate cash replenishment events, passing cash from vault to ATM entries and journal replenishment of ATMs. Operational coverage explicitly included offsite ATM monitoring for in-service status and uptime, routine ATM maintenance on multiple terminals, and daily monitoring of ATM GLs and cash accounts to support timely investigation of customer complaints and reversals.
Governance and process changes included formalized daily ATM balancing and reconciliation procedures, training programs for newly employed custodians on ATM operations and reconciliation, and operational controls such as changing ATM vault combinations. Operational reporting and reconciliation activities leveraged proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and record keeping, while core operational roles spanned cash operations, ATM operations, and branch treasury functions within the Bank of Ghana – Central Bank using Temenos T24 for Core Banking.
