Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2014 2015
In 2014, Barnardo's implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as part of a multi-phase Transform Project to strengthen core finance and HR capabilities. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment was positioned to deliver ERP Financial coverage for the charity, with program oversight coming from Information Services at Head Office and primary operational focus on Finance and People teams. The program delivered a technical upgrade to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 in March 2015, moving from the earlier 11.5.10 baseline, and subsequently configured finance and HR functional modules. Deliverables explicitly included Oracle iExpenses, Oracle Compensation Workbench, an Absence Calendar and the Applaud Employee Center, with online invoicing delivered in 2017 and an Applaud Employee Center HTML5 upgrade and accompanying mobile app rolled out during 2017. Operational integrations and coverage emphasized HRMS and finance transaction flows, reporting and analytics support from OBIEE skilled developers, and instrumentation to understand usage patterns. The project made explicit use of Google Analytics to monitor how the employee portal and mobile interfaces were being used across devices, and the Transform Project phases included planned expansion into procure to pay and performance management capabilities. Governance was managed through an ERP Applications team model, where the ERP Applications Manager led Oracle and OBIEE developers and defined long term strategy for the suite. The Transform Project ran across multiple phases through 2019, focusing on staged module rollouts, ongoing user experience improvements and consolidation of finance and people workflows within Oracle E-Business Suite, supporting Barnardo's ERP Financial and HR operations.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources Core HR HCM FourVision 2021 2022
In 2021 Barnardo's implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources as its Core HR platform to manage employee lifecycles across its multi-region operations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia. The deployment targets HR and payroll-adjacent business functions for an organization with roughly 7,498 employees, and the application name Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources is central to Barnardo's Core HR strategy. Barnardo's currently uses the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources module to govern core HR workflows, but operational reviews identified gaps in critical areas including sickness reporting, leave and absences, and data exportation to payroll. The implementation narrative documents a need for additional HR functionality that the existing configuration cannot support, notably the introduction of a new payroll solution and more complete Compensation and Benefits capabilities. FourVision will begin engagement with a formal health check, combing through the Dynamics 365 F&O-HR configuration to identify unimplemented or improperly implemented elements and any non-standard customizations that require remediation or additional development. Phase two of the program is scoped to implement the Compensation & Benefits functionality within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Core HR, with the potential to add other F&O or Dynamics-aligned applications based on health check findings, and to formalize data export paths to the future payroll solution. FourVision is the systems integrator on the account and will produce the scope of work and roadmap following the health check, establishing governance around configuration standards and phased rollout. The stated objective is to optimize the live Dynamics 365 Human Resources implementation to enhance efficiency and streamline HR processes while building a futureproof Core HR foundation that can accommodate Barnardo's evolving operational requirements.

Oracle Legacy Oracle OBIEE Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2014 2015
In 2014 Barnardo's engaged Oracle to provide functional and technical support for an upgrade of Oracle OBIEE from 11g to 12c. The work was scoped against the Analytics and BI category and focused on preserving existing business reports and dashboards while transitioning to the 12c architecture. The implementation narrative centers on repository and catalog migration, validation of metadata and logical SQL, and reconfiguration of presentation services and BI server runtime parameters. Activities included RPD repository reconciliation, web catalog migration, regression testing of dashboards and scheduled reports, and remediation of security model and credential mappings to align with 12c session management. Governance emphasized staged rollouts with separate development, test, and production environments, version control of RPD artifacts, and coordinated change control between the central BI team and report authors. Operational support delivered functional testing, defect triage, and technical handover documentation for ongoing administration of Oracle OBIEE in production.
