In 2022, Barrod deployed Cloudflare CDN on its public website https://www.barrod.com.mx/, establishing Cloudflare CDN as the Content Delivery Network for its customer-facing web presence. The implementation covers the company web domain and serves static and dynamic asset delivery for the manufacturing firm operating in Mexico.
The Cloudflare CDN configuration focused on standard edge caching, HTTP cache control, TLS termination at the edge, and web traffic filtering rules consistent with Content Delivery Network capabilities. Cache and page rule configurations were applied to reduce origin fetch frequency, and the Cloudflare CDN service was instrumented to handle asset routing and edge delivery logic for images, style sheets, and scripted resources.
Operationally the deployment required DNS point-of-presence changes to route public traffic through Cloudflare, maintaining the existing origin web host for content origin pulls. The rollout scope was limited to the public website and related customer-facing assets, with day-to-day governance assigned to Barrod’s web operations and IT personnel who manage cache policies, certificate renewal, and security rule adjustments. This implementation places Cloudflare CDN in the role of content delivery and edge security for Barrod’s online channel.
