In 2015, Bauer Hockey implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment centralized core financial processing and transactional workflows across finance while providing integrated support for supply chain and order management functions.
Implementation included extensive SAP ABAP development, leveraging object oriented ABAP, CMOD SMOD enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs and RFCs, and standard output technologies such as SAPScript and SmartForms. Development and configuration focused on EDI and ALE interfaces with IDoc inbound and outbound processing, creation of EDI maps, and use of middleware and FTP SFTP channels for file exchange. ABAP responsibilities also covered scheduled batch job management, unit testing, debugging of IDOCs, and performance tuning across FI, CO, SD, MM, PP and WM.
Integrations were centered on IDoc based messaging and ALE for cross module communication, with explicit interface linkage to FI and CO for financial postings and to SD, MM, PP and WM for order to cash and procure to pay processes. Operational coverage included finance, supply chain, manufacturing planning and warehouse operations across Bauer Hockey locations in the United States. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 application acted as the transactional backbone connecting these business functions.
Governance incorporated formal change management controls to meet SOX requirements, including documentation of technical specifications, test plans and controlled transport procedures. The program included participation in support pack and enhancement pack upgrades, with ongoing ABAP development to support bug fixes, testing cycles and continuous solution refinement.

In 2015, Bauer Hockey deployed Benefitfocus Benefitplace for Benefits Administration. The implementation established Benefitfocus Benefitplace as the central benefits enrollment and employee self service portal supporting all PSG divisions in the United States, with the application serving HR and payroll touchpoints across the business.
Configuration and functional modules focused on employee information management, benefits enrollment and change processing, and reporting. Bauer Hockey used Benefitfocus Benefitplace to process benefit enrollments and changes, reconcile monthly benefit invoices, and produce standard and ad hoc reports to support payroll and HR operations.
Integrations were implemented with the company HRIS and with payroll and time systems commonly used by the team, specifically ADP Workforce Now, ADP Time and Labor Manager, and Kronos, to align benefits data with payroll and time and attendance records. Operational coverage included HR administrators responsible for input and maintenance of employee records, US payroll processing functions and the managers who interact with time entry and payroll related deadlines.
Governance and workflow responsibilities remained with HR and the US payroll organization, with HR acting as primary administrator and first point of contact for employees on time and attendance and benefits related issues, and serving as primary backup to the US Payroll Manager. Regular operational controls included monthly benefit invoice reconciliation and the transmittal of weekly and biweekly management payroll reports, with Benefitfocus Benefitplace used as the authoritative benefits administration record.
