| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010 Bayer implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform to consolidate core finance and accounting capabilities for its Canada operations. The deployment supported corporate finance, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, aligning the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 application with Bayer finance and accounting business functions.
The implementation emphasized hands on ABAP development for custom reports, user exits, Adobe Forms and interface programs, reflecting the project requirement for five to seven years of SAP ABAP experience. Extensions and user interface work included SAP Webdynpro and WebUI patterns, with SAPUI5 and OData Services identified as relevant technologies for building modern front end services and service oriented interfaces.
Integration planning included traditional SAP interface patterns and supply chain planning touch points, given explicit mention of SCM APO as a relevant skill area, indicating anticipated integration points between finance, procurement and planning systems. The technical scope covered dialog programming and interface orchestration to support document exchange and transactional flows between SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and adjacent operational systems.
Governance focused on centralized ABAP development standards and a transport based release process typical of SAP ECC landscapes, with modular configuration and phased functional rollouts across finance submodules. Change control used SAP configuration objects and code level governance to manage custom reports, interfaces and Adobe Forms while preserving core ERP Financial process integrity.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits | Benefits Administration | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020, Bayer implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits to centralize Benefits Administration for its Canadian operations supporting roughly 1,400 employees. The deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits was positioned to manage core benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, pension and supplemental insurance within a single benefits administration record and workflow set.
Configuration emphasis included benefits enrollment, plan and eligibility rule configuration, life event processing, and benefits catalog management, aligned with established compliance and audit controls. The implementation applied standard Employee Central Global Benefits capabilities for eligibility rules, controlled enrollment windows, and benefits data modeling to represent multiple plan types and policy documents.
Operational integration tied the Employee Central Global Benefits instance to Bayer HRIS master data and payroll interfaces to ensure synchronized employee eligibility and enrollment records, and to support downstream carrier communication and reporting workflows. Where relevant, data synchronization patterns mirrored prior SuccessFactors deployments at Conceptus, where performance management and recruiting modules were implemented and later folded into Bayer platforms.
Governance and rollout oriented benefits ownership under Compensation, Benefits and HRIS leadership, standardizing enrollment and audit workflows and centralizing policy maintenance across the Canadian entity. Implementation planning referenced prior integration work from the Conceptus acquisition to inform configuration and communication processes during the Employee Central Global Benefits rollout.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 Bayer implemented Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) to support Field Service Management across its Canadian operations. The implementation established a dedicated field service capability aligned with Bayer Canada business units and the broader Salesforce environment.
The deployment configured core Field Service Management modules including scheduling and dispatch, work order management, mobile technician enablement, service entitlements, and skills-based technician assignment. A Sr Salesforce Field Service Consultant led configuration and parameterization, focusing on appointment orchestration, mobile forms for onsite capture, and rule-based scheduling to align technician skills with service demand.
Architecturally the solution was provisioned on the Salesforce platform and was implemented to operate alongside Salesforce CRM records, enabling case to work order conversion and preserving customer context within service workflows. The implementation emphasized API-ready data models and platform-native objects to maintain a single source of customer and service truth within Salesforce.
Governance centered on role-based access controls, defined service process workflows, and a phased rollout across field operations to limit operational disruption. Training and operational playbooks were introduced for dispatchers and field technicians to support consistent service execution and adherence to the new system-driven workflows.
