Workstreams targeted configuration of core financial management and analytics capabilities within SAP S/4 HANA, while aligning inventory and product master workflows to support SKU rationalization and product portfolio management. The SAP S/4 HANA work included building Finance and Supply Chain Analytics layers and defining data models to support centralized reporting and decision support.
Integration architecture integrated SAP S/4 HANA with a centralized data lake operated by the Data Lake team to consolidate finance and supply chain data for analytics and reporting. Operational coverage focused on finance and supply chain functions, with coordination between ERP teams and business users to ensure data consistency for inventory management and analytics.
Governance relied on a business partner model for ERP issue management and change requests, with formal cost benefit analysis, prioritization, and approval workflows and continuous improvement coordination. Project management experience from the prior transition of the VAD business unit to SAP ERP ECC 6.0 informed stakeholder engagement and rollout planning for SAP S/4 HANA.

In 2014 Becton Dickinson implemented Workday Absence Management as part of an accelerated, worldwide Workday deployment, aligning absence and leave policies with a centralized HR platform. The implementation targeted Absence and Leave Management capabilities within a broader HCM program and was executed alongside Time and Leave, HCM, Payroll, benefits, compensation, recruiting, and reporting modules to provide a unified employee lifecycle platform.
Configuration and testing work included module ownership and validation activities across adjacent HR capabilities, while Workday Absence Management was configured to operate with enterprise leave rules and global entitlements. Team members validated and configured multiple merit, one-time payment, stock and commission plans, and performed end-to-end testing using a prior platform test environment and VBA-based Excel tools to run parallel processes and reconcile results.
Operational integrations and data activities supported the rollout, including migration of HR Service Center processes to the Workday platform and transfer of existing requisitions and candidate records driven by global requirements. The project included data conversion team participation and the development of script-based tools to update more than 25,000 policy documents and associated business rules to reflect organizational structure changes during the Workday migration.
Governance and rollout included global training strategy participation, module owner responsibilities for compensation and recruiting, legal analysis for compliance requirements, and contribution to a workforce analytics dashboard that incorporated company-wide diversity target metrics for internal KBOs and AAP planning.
