In 2010, BendPak implemented SAP Business ByDesign as its ERP Financial application. The deployment migrated inventory and transactional processes from MAS 200 into SAP Business ByDesign and consolidated core financials, inventory management, inbound and outbound logistics, and production transaction workflows.
Configuration emphasized inventory management and financial modules within SAP Business ByDesign, with explicit support for inventory accuracy controls, transaction posting for inbound and outbound operations, and production transaction recording. Operations and logistics configuration included workload planning and volume forecasting routines to align daily and weekly scheduling with production and shipping demands.
The implementation covered the BendPak Santa Paula, CA operations, with operational scope concentrated on the inbound, outbound, and production departments at that site. Integration points were established to support transactional flow between warehouse processes and the financial ledger within SAP Business ByDesign, and process instrumentation was oriented toward inventory adjustments and deviation tracking.
Governance and process change focused on structured training and operational ownership, with training delivered to inbound, outbound, and production personnel and supervisory responsibilities aligned to hiring, performance appraisal, and safety compliance. Daily and weekly workload planning routines and safety reporting investigations were embedded into operational governance to enforce inventory accuracy metrics and process compliance.
Outcomes documented in the implementation context include assistance in the inventory migration to SAP Business ByDesign and ongoing efforts to ensure all inventory accuracy metrics are met, including adjustments and deviations. The project emphasized role-based training, procedural controls for inventory accuracy, and the institutionalization of workload forecasting routines within the ERP Financial environment.

In 2021, BendPak implemented Infor CloudSuite Distribution to consolidate core distribution functions under a cloud-based Distribution ERP. The deployment targeted corporate operations in Mobile, Alabama and aimed to centralize order and inventory workflows across purchasing, warehouse, and service teams.
Infor CloudSuite Distribution was configured to support standard distribution modules including inventory management, order management, purchasing, warehouse management, and basic financial posting workflows consistent with a Distribution ERP. Configuration work emphasized handling both warranty and purchase order lifecycles, and mapping product configurations to serviceable items used in field installations and technical support.
Operational processes continued to rely on specialist systems for adjacent functions, with Freshdesk used for ticketing, TalkDesk providing VoIP contact handling, and SolidWorks serving as the source for CAD data and product bills of materials referenced during order entry and technical documentation. Order generation and updates were executed using SX.e and CSD ERP systems by Infor during the implementation period, with those systems coexisting with Infor CloudSuite Distribution to support order processing and service transactions.
Governance and rollout focused on procedural alignment and hands-on training, the technical writing team updated product manuals and work instructions, and on-site installations were used as training opportunities to operationalize the new Distribution ERP workflows. Quality assurance and key performance indicators were embedded in support and operations practices, with Freshdesk ticketing and TalkDesk call routing used to enforce incident and service request workflows tied back to order and inventory processes.
