Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2014 2014
In 2014 Berwind Corporation implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial application to centralize core accounts payable and general ledger activities across its multi-entity accounting footprint. The deployment supported day to day accounts payable operations and intercompany billing workflows used by the Philadelphia based accounting team. Configuration focused on accounts payable modules and GL posting controls, enabling electronic invoice processing through an integrated imaging and workflow system. Scanned and indexed invoices were captured in the Doc-link imaging platform, routed through approval workflows to the appropriate individuals and departments, and processed for payment with manager approvals recorded prior to posting batches and cutting checks. Operational integrations included the Doc-link invoice capture and workflow engine for source document handling, and a bank file upload process that interfaced with the Great Plains payment file workflow for check runs and wire requests. Functional coverage extended to intercompany invoicing for multiple entities, monthly sales and use tax filing, and reconciliation and posting of purchase card monthly spend to the general ledger, reflecting cross-functional use by accounts payable, treasury, and tax processes. Governance and workflow practices emphasized batch posting discipline, formal approval routing for invoices, and standardized month end tasks such as composing intercompany invoices and reconciling card spend. Microsoft Dynamics GP was used as the ERP Financial system to anchor those controls and to provide the transactional ledger and payment file orchestration supporting the stated accounts payable and tax filing processes.

Epicor Legacy Epicor Kinetic Manufacturing ERP ERP Services and Operations n/a 2021 2022
In 2021 Berwind Corporation implemented Epicor Kinetic. Epicor Kinetic is a Manufacturing ERP that was configured to centralize core production and transactional processes for the company. The implementation concentrated on standard Manufacturing ERP modules, with configuration work focused on material requirements planning, inventory management, production scheduling, bills of materials and routing, shop floor data capture, purchasing, quality management, and general ledger financials. Epicor Kinetic was configured with role based security and workflow automation to enforce approvals and production release processes, and the project included bill of materials and routing versioning to support discrete manufacturing change control. The deployment emphasized configuration of transactional validation, lot and serial traceability, and cost-posting rules aligned with manufacturing accounting. Architecturally the deployment used Epicor Kinetic application services and database tiers to separate transaction processing from reporting workloads, and implementation planning included API and integration frameworks to support electronic order capture and automated shop floor telemetry where needed. The scope of operational coverage targeted manufacturing operations, supply chain execution, procurement, and core finance functions, with integration touchpoints scoped for order to cash and purchase to pay flows. Data migration workstreams consolidated master data for items, suppliers, and bills of material prior to go live. Governance for the rollout established process owners for manufacturing and finance, a change control board to manage configuration and release artifacts, and a training program to enable super users and plant floor operators. The program used phased cutovers by business function to reduce operational risk and to align process standardization across sites. Ongoing support models emphasized centralized system administration and documented configuration baselines in Epicor Kinetic to maintain control over future enhancements.
