In 2017 Binx Health implemented Sage 50 Payroll to manage its UK payroll operations. Sage 50 Payroll serves as the companys core Payroll application for monthly runs and statutory payroll processing at the UK site.
The deployment was operated by the HR & Office Manager who ran the monthly payroll process and configured payroll elements to handle pensions, childcare vouchers, charitable giving, healthcare deductions and employee pay records. Functional coverage includes employee record maintenance, payroll calculation, statutory reporting and benefits deduction processing, and the configuration supports onboarding and offboarding workflows driven by HR administration.
Sage 50 Payroll operated alongside a separate US payroll stack, USA payroll reporting using Gusto and USA benefit processing using Ascensus, which together covered weekly payroll and US benefit administration. Procurement and spend initiation was handled in SAP Byd for raising purchase orders, operating separately from the Payroll application, and these named systems coexist to provide cross border payroll and administrative coverage.
Operational governance centralized payroll ownership within HR, with the HR & Office Manager responsible for recruitment, onboarding, monthly payroll execution, benefits administration and coordination with US payroll teams. The implementation reflects a jurisdictional separation of payroll and benefits, using Sage 50 Payroll for UK Payroll and the named US systems for American payroll and benefits processing.
