| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2020 | 2021 |
In 2020 Boral implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform to centralize finance operations. The deployment targeted Boral's corporate and divisional finance functions within the Australia based Construction and Real Estate business, covering the company that employs about 9000 people and reports roughly 2.276 billion in revenue.
The SAP S/4 HANA implementation emphasized core financial modules and configuration, including the general ledger with real time accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, treasury and period end close capabilities. Standard SAP S/4 HANA financial reporting, statutory tax support and financial master data structures such as chart of accounts and cost center hierarchies were implemented to support consolidated reporting and operational accounting workflows.
Governance and program management included a Process Lead Finance for the SAP S/4 HANA project who served from January 2020 to October 2021, overseeing finance process design, requirements validation, configuration alignment, user acceptance testing and go live preparation. Operational rollout focused on embedding new finance workflows, month end close procedures and control points into group finance, supported by documentation and training to drive adoption.

| PageUp | Legacy | PageUp ATS | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Boral implemented PageUp ATS as its Applicant Tracking System. The deployment surfaces PageUp ATS on Boral's public careers web presence using PageUp-hosted application forms to collect candidate submissions and manage external job posting workflows. The implementation centralizes external candidate intake for Boral, a construction and real estate employer with roughly 9,000 employees, and positions the application as the primary interface for applicant capture.
Functional capabilities implemented include career-site integration, online application capture, candidate tracking, and requisition workflow automation, reflecting standard Applicant Tracking System functionality. Configuration focused on job posting management, applicant status workflows, and automated intake forms to support screening and interview orchestration by HR and hiring managers. PageUp ATS is therefore the operational system for initiating and managing external hiring workflows through Boral's website.
Operational governance concentrates on centralized HR ownership of posting approvals and workflow configuration, with hiring managers accessing candidate records and progressing applicants through defined stages within PageUp ATS. The implementation emphasizes career-site to ATS linkage for consistent applicant data capture and lifecycle orchestration, keeping recruitment activity consolidated within PageUp ATS rather than dispersed across separate application channels.

In 2018 Boral initiated the Maximo Asset Management Tool project and deployed IBM Maximo as an Enterprise Asset Management solution. The implementation targeted asset lifecycle control for buildings, vehicles, fire extinguishers and equipment, establishing maintenance schedules and workflow-driven asset records to support maintenance and operations functions.
The deployment configured Enterprise Asset Management capabilities such as an asset registry, preventive maintenance scheduling, work order orchestration and inspection recording aligned with standard EAM workflows. Project activities documented in the engagement included business requirements analysis, test plan preparation, design and execution of test cases, and execution of sanity, regression, integration, system testing and UAT.
Delivery and governance followed Agile testing practices, with daily Scrum meetings, sprint retrospectives and weekly review forums shaping iterative validation and release cadence. Testing and quality tooling included JIRA for defect tracking, a hybrid automation framework built with Selenium and TestNG in JAVA, API test automation using SOAP UI with recorded scripts in Excel, and formal test plans to support UAT and integration validation of IBM Maximo.
