In 2011 Borealis implemented FIS GETPAID to support accounts receivable processes, placing the solution at the center of its AR Automation strategy for collections and credit management. The deployment targeted the company finance organization and Collections and Credit Management business functions, positioning FIS GETPAID as the primary tool for centralized collections workflows and credit control.
Configuration work focused on collections management, credit decision controls, structured dunning and dispute handling workflows, and cash application automation consistent with AR Automation capabilities. The program included substantive customization and extension work, reflecting work that trespassed the boundaries of the standard software to meet Borealis operational requirements, with FIS GETPAID configured to enforce credit limits and orchestrate collections activities.
Governance and rollout were driven through a Project Management Team and nominated key users, under guidance from a lead consultant who guided training, configuration signoff, and user acceptance processes. The implementation was executed as an enterprise finance initiative with operational ownership in collections and accounts receivable, and it concluded as a successful deployment of FIS GETPAID for Borealis Collections and Credit Management.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Borealis implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a three year SuccessFactors program that began in 2017, deploying a cloud HR solution interfaced with the companys existing SAP core system. The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was executed alongside early module launches that included Employee Profile, Learning, Succession Planning and Talent Management in 2018, with Performance introduced in 2019 and Recruitment going live in March 2020.
The deployment focused on Compensation Management capabilities, configured to align with Borealis HR workflows for pay planning and rewards administration, while the broader SuccessFactors footprint covered talent, learning and performance management. Configuration work emphasized role based access, compensation plan templates and integration points that enable a unified employee profile and talent data model across modules.
Architecturally the solution was provisioned as a cloud application interfaced with the on premises SAP core, enabling synchronization of HR master data and talent records between SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and the SAP backend. This interface supported centralized employee profiles and was a central element of the integration design, reducing manual reconciliation across HR processes.
Operational scope encompassed Borealis HR and people managers, with rollout sequenced by module across the companys employee population. HR governance was strengthened during the program, HR teams automating administrative tasks, digitalising processes and introducing SLA and KPI measurement to monitor adoption and operational performance.

In 2017 Borealis implemented Cenosco IMS as its Asset Performance Management application to introduce risk-based maintenance planning across its plants. The deployment uses equipment current and historical condition data to assess asset-specific risk levels and to optimize a plant’s entire preventive maintenance plan, with Cenosco IMS explicitly structured to support risk assessment and scheduling workflows.
Cenosco IMS is organized into modular components that target discrete application areas and specific equipment classes, enabling configuration by asset type and maintenance discipline. The platform’s modular design supports functional capabilities around condition-driven risk scoring, preventive maintenance optimization, and inspection planning, and Cenosco IMS is presented to customers as a suite where modules are enabled based on operational scope and asset coverage.
Operational coverage for the product is global, with the vendor reporting over 5,000 users at about 100 plants in 30 countries including customers such as Shell, Borealis and Sapref, and the vendor provides hosting alongside implementation services. Cenosco operates a 75 person software team headquartered in the Netherlands with local presence in Croatia, and the vendor supports customers with data migration, data management, training and hosting activities as part of the rollout.
