Oracle Legacy Oracle PeopleSoft ERP ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2007 2017
In 2007 Bowling Green State University implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP. The deployment used PeopleSoft Financial Management Solutions with ITS project offices coordinating the February 2007 go-live and university stakeholders driving financial system configuration. The implementation focused on ERP Financial capabilities, delivering PeopleSoft FMS configuration and a later chart of accounts redesign in PS FMS 9.1 that went live on 7/5/11. Procurement and financial modules were configured to support purchasing, sourcing, contract management, and settlement workflows consistent with higher education finance operations. The project integrated the SciQuest catalog system to enable end to end purchasing to settlement processes, with SciQuest linked to the Oracle PeopleSoft ERP environment to streamline requisitioning and purchase order data flow. Operational ownership was concentrated in the Purchasing Department and ITS, with the University Bookstore aligned to procurement processes and sourcing practices. Governance was formalized through an implementation team for the new chart of accounts and through defined system administration responsibilities, including a Purchasing Sourcing and Contract Manager who served as system administrator for SciQuest and PS FMS. Ongoing operational control combined departmental process ownership with centralized ITS support for configuration, updates, and financial data governance.

Oracle Legacy Oracle PeopleSoft HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2010 2018
In 2010 Bowling Green State University implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM to centralize Core HR for its campus workforce of 3,964 employees. The deployment targeted institutional human resources administration and core HR functions including employee records, position management, benefits administration and payroll workflow orchestration, consolidating HR data within the Oracle PeopleSoft HCM application. The implementation included a sustained application lifecycle program, documented by sequential platform workstreams such as the PeopleSoft CSS/HCM Application Split, PeopleSoft HCM 9.0 Upgrade and PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 Upgrade, along with PeopleTools upgrades and ongoing PeopleSoft CSS/HCM maintenance applications. Functional modules and capabilities referenced in the program include the PeopleSoft CSS HCM suite, maintenance and configuration of PeopleTools, and installation of the T2 Flex Parking application with integration into PeopleSoft CSS/HRMS. Integrations were implemented to align campus systems with the Core HR platform, specifically PeopleSoft CSS/EAB Campus Integration and PeopleSoft CSS/CANVAS Integration, indicating orchestration between student engagement systems and HR data flows. The T2 Flex Parking application integration extended PeopleSoft CSS/HRMS to auxiliary services, tying parking access and permit data into the HR and campus systems ecosystem and enabling cross-system identity and administrative workflows. Operational governance emphasized separation of application responsibilities following the CSS and HCM split, instituting maintenance and upgrade processes for PeopleSoft CSS and Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and coordinating PeopleTools upgrade windows. The narrative shows a long-term maintenance posture with discrete upgrade milestones and integrations to campus academic and auxiliary systems, preserving the Core HR foundation for HR operations and campus administrative services.
