In 2018 Bridgestone Europe implemented SAP S/4 HANA as an ERP Financial solution supporting finance, procurement and supply chain business functions. The S/4 HANA greenfield project formally replaced SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and targeted a unified financial and procure to pay foundation for Bridgestone Europe operations based in Belgium.
The implementation emphasized procure to pay capabilities and materials management, with explicit design leadership for SAP Ariba Sourcing and Procurement MM and SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration. SAP S/4 HANA configuration work included P2P workflow design, master data alignment for MM and finance modules, and workshop driven functional design to align sourcing, procurement and accounts payable processes.
Integration architecture centered on SAP Cloud Platform Integration for S/4 HANA to orchestrate connectivity between the new SAP S/4 HANA application and SAP Ariba modules, enabling supply chain collaboration and sourcing data flows. The deployment approach included coordinated cutover sequencing and active liaison with UAT teams to quickly identify and resolve issues during the rollout implementation project.
Governance and adoption activities were led through hands on design workshops and targeted training, with the project team responsible for educating and training Bridgestone employees on the current P2P process and system. Operational ownership spanned procurement, supply chain and finance groups, with process governance reinforced through workshop outputs and UAT feedback loops.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2015 |
In 2014, Bridgestone Europe implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a broader Talent suite deployment. The implementation explicitly targeted the Compensation Management category and was delivered alongside Talent modules led by Talent Leads, including Performance, Recruitment, Succession and LMS. The scope covered HR and talent management processes within Bridgestone Europe.
SAP SuccessFactors Compensation was configured to centralize pay planning, manage merit and bonus cycles, and administer variable pay and total rewards frameworks. Configuration work included compensation templates, eligibility rules, approval workflows, and pay statement generation integrated into compensation cycles. The implementation aligned compensation rules with performance ratings captured in the Performance module.
Functional integration linked SAP SuccessFactors Compensation with the Performance and Recruitment modules to surface performance ratings and offer compensation recommendations, and with Succession and LMS to incorporate readiness and development signals into pay decisions. Operational ownership rested with HR and Talent Leads across Bridgestone Europe, with the system used to coordinate corporate and regional compensation planning processes.
Bridgestone established governance processes for configuration changes, approval workflows and periodic enhancement cycles, and maintained liaison with SAP and an implementation partner for ongoing support and enhancements to the SuccessFactors Talent modules. Change control and training workflows were implemented to ensure Talent Leads and HR administrators could manage compensation rounds and configuration updates.

In 2022 Bridgestone Europe implemented SAP Analytics Cloud for Analytics and BI to overhaul its financial forecasting and planning capability. The project was delivered with implementation partner Flexso and was executed to fully integrate with Bridgestone Europe’s existing IT landscape and the parallel SAP S/4 HANA project, with a target for fast roll out across the EMEA region and deployment to hundreds of users in Europe.
The implementation centered on planning and forecasting functionality in SAP Analytics Cloud, shifting from a highly detailed quarterly process to a monthly rolling forecast performed at a more aggregated level. Core functional capabilities configured included rolling forecasts, scenario simulations that execute in real time, consolidated forecasting workflows, and modular planning spaces that allow departments to create their own financial bubbles for inclusion in the consolidated view. The rollout emphasized rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and documentation to accelerate feature delivery and user feedback loops.
Integrations were explicit to the current IT landscape and the SAP S/4 HANA program, enabling near real time refreshes of financial data and management updates rather than multiday cycles. Operational coverage extended beyond finance to procurement, manufacturing and HR as those departments began building planning models within SAP Analytics Cloud, with an EMEA level deployment approach to standardize forecasting across sites.
Governance and process redesign accompanied the technical deployment, moving the organization from a time consuming, exception heavy planning cadence to a standardized monthly rolling forecast that reduces detail overload and increases directional clarity. Adoption was supported by an extensive training package and structured change activities that focused on user enablement, continuous innovation and documented process changes to embed the new planning workflow across finance and adjacent functions.
Stated outcomes from the implementation include replacing multiweek quarterly cycles with rolling forecasts that run in hours, faster interactive simulations, more up to date and data driven forecasts and freed up finance capacity to better support management. Bridgestone Europe received external recognition for the project as winner of the silver Best of Customer Success Award 2022 in the Digital Pioneer category.
