In 2015, C&A Brasil implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate core ERP Financial capabilities across its nationwide retail operations. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 deployment focused on supporting finance, accounting, treasury and controlling functions for corporate locations and retail sites across Brazil, aligning the application to the companys operational footprint of more than 330 stores.
The implementation configured a broad set of SAP FI and CO components, including FI-GL General Accounting, FI-AP Accounts Payable, FI-AR Accounts Receivable, FI-AA Asset Management, FI-BL Bank Accounting, FI-IM Investment Control, CO-OPA internal orders, CO-CCA cost center accounting, CO-PCA profit center accounting, and RE-FX flexible property and contract management to capture property level profit and loss. Workstreams included definition of organizational structure, creation and implementation of new SAP company codes, configuration of FI approval workflows, setup of bank payment processes for multiple payment types such as all PIX variants, TED, bank slips, bank deposit and invoice, and support for tax document flows including NFe inbound and outbound.
Integration and technical architecture elements were formalized using SAP Process Integration and Process Orchestration with REST and SOAP APIs, file processing and RFC interfaces to onboard non-SAP systems and satellite applications into SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The program included SAP integration and parameterization for bank payments using a bank VAN solution, coordinated ABAP development for enhancements, functional and technical specification development, and patch and upgrade support for SAP system versions.
Operational governance emphasized day-to-day ticketed support for FI module users, creation and maintenance of end-to-end documentation, development of unit and integrated test artifacts, and user guidance and training for supplier management and financial processes. Teams were organized to manage banking configurations and support scenarios such as unexecuted payment proposals, while finance and controlling process owners accepted responsibility for ongoing configuration best practices and solution maintenance within the ERP Financial footprint using SAP ERP ECC 6.0.
