| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing | Candidate Relationship Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Canada Life UK implemented SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing as a targeted Candidate Relationship Management deployment to centralize talent engagement for its UK recruitment function. The implementation covered both Recruiting Management and Recruiting Marketing capabilities under the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing application, and was led in a dedicated role from June 2018 onward across a three year eight month program of work.
The deployment focused on the RCM and RMK modules, with explicit configuration work on the RMK career site design and iterative delivery across three UK-centered phases. Configuration activity included career site composition and branding, candidate segmentation and nurture workflows, and orchestration of campaign-driven candidate pipelines consistent with Candidate Relationship Management functional patterns. The full application name SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing is used to describe the integrated recruiting management and marketing capability set implemented.
Operational ownership rested with Talent Acquisition and HR recruitment teams in the United Kingdom, organized around phased rollout governance and iteration controls driven by the implementation lead. Governance changes formalized career site content ownership, recruitment campaign approval processes, and staged releases for RMK features, supporting ongoing operation and continuous refinement from the June 2018 start date.

In 2003, Canada Life UK implemented Oracle OBIEE. The deployment established a centralized Analytics and BI platform to provide enterprise reporting and self service analytics for the insurer.
The implementation used standard Oracle OBIEE architecture components including repository modeling, BI Server analytics processing, Presentation Services driven dashboards and a web catalog for scheduled and ad hoc reporting. Configuration work included metadata modeling and repository (RPD) design, dashboard composition, report bursting and scheduling configuration, and query optimization tied to Oracle database structures. A contract Database Developer focused on Oracle and BI tasks contributed to data modeling and ETL-ready data preparation for the OBIEE environment.
Operationally Oracle OBIEE supported finance and management reporting functions, consolidating multi-department reporting workflows under the Analytics and BI platform. Governance practices centered on report catalog permissions, RPD change control, and a staged content promotion process to manage analytics lifecycle and user access.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Chatter | Collaboration | Collaboration | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Canada Life UK deployed Salesforce Chatter to centralize internal collaboration inside its Salesforce CRM estate and accelerate a 360 degree view of customers. Salesforce Chatter was positioned as the Collaboration-layer to unite field account managers, 45 Relationship Managers and in-house experts around a single source of customer information and activity.
The implementation configured Salesforce Chatter user groups for proposition collaboration, feedback and market updates, and enabled mobile-first updates so on-the-road account managers could refresh client histories and post meeting outcomes in real time. Chatter functions were used alongside Sales Cloud dashboards to present a single client dashboard to sales professionals, reducing reliance on disparate notes and spreadsheets and standardizing lead follow-up workflows.
Salesforce Chatter was integrated into the broader Salesforce CRM environment, with explicit linkages to Sales Cloud and the recently deployed Pardot instance to enrich lead and web usage intelligence. Operational coverage focused on the sales organization, e-business and marketing touchpoints, enabling reps to route questions to subject matter experts quickly and align the wider business behind sales priorities.
Governance and adoption were driven through weekly Sales Manager review calls and an evolved licensing strategy as user uptake grew, with additional licences procured to support expanding use. The rollout produced stated outcomes of greater sharing across sales teams, faster customer query response, improved consistency in sales process and follow-up, and an ability for senior managers to access reliable reports to inform decisions.
