| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016, Cascades Inc. implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 in the ERP Financial category to extend ERP coverage into manufacturing production execution. The deployment focused on selective plant rollouts, targeting production execution workflows within some plants of the Tissue Group and SPG, and aligning ERP Financial master data and transactional processes with manufacturing operations.
The technical scope emphasized the SAP PP module for production planning and shop floor execution, delivered through detailed fit gap analysis, configuration, bespoke development, and staged testing cycles. Functional capabilities implemented included production order orchestration, shop floor confirmations, production master data harmonization, and transactional postings that tie execution events to inventory and financial control points.
Integrations were implemented between SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and plant MES technologies using AS400 and Proficy, enabling bidirectional exchange of production orders, status confirmations, and execution data. The integration architecture routed order orchestration from SAP PP to MES and returned execution confirmations into ECC to support inventory updates and transactional visibility.
Rollout governance was organized at the plant level with fit gap workshops, iterative configuration and test phases, and coordinated development cycles to align shop floor processes with ERP Financial controls and reporting.

In 2015, Cascades Inc. implemented SAP SuccessFactors Learning to centralize training delivery and curriculum management across its manufacturing operations. The deployment addressed Learning and Development needs and positioned SAP SuccessFactors Learning as the system of record for training plans and program orchestration within Cascades Inc.
The implementation covered 80 Cascades units and included creation of more than 1500 learning plans and curricula targeted at hourly employees across all units. Configuration emphasized curriculum management, role based learning assignments, scheduling and enrollment workflows, and administrative tracking consistent with common Learning and Development capabilities.
Operational scope included participation in the online OSH project for factories in Quebec and coordination of the FIBER program through 35 training calendars, split across 20 factories for superuser learning and 15 factories for end users. Program execution required coordinating academic content, logistical scheduling, and SuccessFactors related IT activities for both the superuser program and plant specific end user rollouts, with ongoing monitoring and implementation oversight.
Governance was structured around centralized coordination between corporate learning leads and plant level training contacts, with superuser enablement used to scale delivery and localize end user training. The rollout narrative emphasizes curriculum standardization, calendar driven scheduling, and integrated academic logistical and IT coordination within SAP SuccessFactors Learning to support Cascades Inc. training operations.

| Aptean | Legacy | Aptean EAM TabWare | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Cascades Inc. deployed Aptean EAM TabWare as its Enterprise Asset Management solution. The initial implementation targeted plant operations and included configuration for the Etobicoke, ON facility to support maintenance and inventory workflows for production clerks and plant management.
The Aptean EAM TabWare deployment emphasized inventory and materials management capabilities, with configurations to maintain inventory of stock and non-stock materials, conduct periodic inventories, and reconcile inventory records in TabWare. The implementation also provided asset record keeping and work order orchestration functions consistent with Enterprise Asset Management tooling, and it was configured to surface decision-support information and reports used by operational staff.
Operational governance aligned the application with plant-level business rules, assigning production clerks reporting to the Plant Manager responsibility for transactional posting, reconciliation tasks, and cross-department communication using TabWare workflows. Role-based access and inventory reconciliation procedures were embedded in day-to-day operations to standardize periodic inventory cycles and support continuous operational control at the Etobicoke site.
