UKG Legacy UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) Time and Attendance HCM n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Catholic Health deployed UKG Workforce Central Timekeeper (ex Kronos Workforce Timekeeper) for Time and Attendance. The implementation centralized time capture and workforce scheduling for departmental and administrative staff, with explicit operational focus on Pharmacy functions within Catholic Health, a 11,200-employee healthcare system. The deployment emphasized core Time and Attendance capabilities typical for the category, including punch and exception management, shift scheduling, timecard approval workflows, accrual and leave tracking, configurable pay rule processing, labor distribution and audit trails. Configuration work was aligned to Pharmacy supervision needs, supporting technician schedules, medication distribution staffing patterns and supervisor review workflows. The system was introduced into an application landscape that included Soarian Clinicals, Pyxis Medstation 3000 and 3500 series, Pyxis Connect, Carefusion Knowledge Portal, Soarian Financials, Kronos Visionware, Strata Jazz, AS400 Materials Management, McKesson Connect and Microsoft Office Suite, with operational coexistence across clinical, pharmacy operations and financial systems. Deployment scope was operationally driven by Pharmacy program coordination and oversight responsibilities rather than by a narrow payroll use case. Governance was structured to support operational, quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction programs, with Pharmacy leadership providing oversight of medication distribution technology and processes and supervising Pharmacy Technician time and project work. Timekeeping control configurations and approval workflows were designed to support departmental financial performance monitoring and Joint Commission and regulatory readiness activities.
