In 2019, Centra Windows implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its core financial system. The deployment targeted three corporate entities, Centra Windows, Centra Exteriors, and Centra Restorations, and covered the organization headquarters and branch offices in Langley, Kelowna, Kamloops, Nanaimo and Victoria BC, supporting roughly 200 employees under a single ERP Financial strategy.
Microsoft Dynamics GP was configured to support Financial and operational controls consistent with ERP Financial requirements, including general ledger consolidation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, and job cost accounting. The implementation explicitly accommodated Centra’s requirements for custom job order entry, flexible purchasing structures, automated terms discounts, holdback processing, commission reporting, decentralized payment processing, and an internal information distribution platform.
Encore Business Solutions served as the reseller and implementation partner, configuring Microsoft Dynamics GP across multiple legal entities and branch locations to centralize financial data while preserving local operational autonomy. The architecture emphasized multi-entity financial consolidation and transaction-level controls, with workflows and data structures aligned to support periodic financial statement preparation and distributed payment workflows.
Governance and rollout were organized as a phased program to respect Centra’s existing operational practices and to allow future extensibility, reflecting a long term relationship expectation with the reseller. Implementation governance focused on process standardization where practical, and on configuring Microsoft Dynamics GP to retain Centra’s competitive operational differentiators while providing a unified ERP Financial platform.
