Configuration emphasized approval hierarchies, audit trails, and automated accounting code assignment to support accounts payable and financial close processes.
The implementation integrated the SAP Travel and Expense Management application with corporate financial systems using ERP-grade interfaces to exchange master data such as employee records and cost centers, and to push validated expense postings to the general ledger. Interfaces supported automated accounting distributions, expense accruals, and reconciliation workflows to maintain consistent financial controls across business units.
Governance was structured around finance-led policy configuration and role-based access controls, with change management focused on standardizing submission templates and approval workflows. ADP Enterprise eTIME was configured to deliver core time capture, employee clocking, scheduling, absence management and payroll export workflows to align HR and payroll operations. The implementation was delivered as a hosted timekeeping solution consistent with Cepheid's cloud first posture, with configuration work focused on standardizing time policies, automating attendance processing and establishing timecard approval workflows. Functional emphasis was placed on operational timekeeping, centralized policy enforcement and supportability within the broader suite of cloud HR and business applications.
Governance and organizational changes accompanied the ADP Enterprise eTIME rollout, including an IT Governance Committee led by the CEO and direct reports to improve technology spend accountability and business alignment. The ADP Enterprise eTIME Time and Attendance deployment was one element of a scaled IT organization that Cepheid reports has supported year over year revenue growth, while maintaining IT spend below 3 percent of revenue. Subsequent 2013 initiatives such as a SAP program and a global data management and machine to machine communications project called RemoteXpert indicate continued prioritization of cloud, mobility and security in operational planning.
