In 2017 Chain Reaction Cycles deployed Oracle Commerce Platform ( ex ATG Web Commerce ) for eCommerce, establishing an enterprise grade store to centralize its international online sales. Cloud Mobilizd led the implementation and built a World Class store environment to enable CRC to take total control of its international ecommerce business. The implementation was scoped to support CRC’s multi country storefront strategy and global commerce operations.
Functional capabilities implemented on Oracle Commerce Platform ( ex ATG Web Commerce ) included storefront and catalog management, multi currency pricing and localized merchandising, checkout workflows and customer account management, and order management workflows consistent with an enterprise eCommerce platform. Configuration work emphasized internationalization and currency handling to support 15 currencies and localized assortments. Merchandising controls and site configuration were used to enable differentiated promotions and regional storefront experiences.
Operational coverage extended across CRC’s international ecommerce organization, merchandising and operations teams, supporting trading in 100+ countries and centralized global site management. Governance was reoriented toward a single platform ownership model with Cloud Mobilizd providing implementation and configuration services to standardize ecommerce processes and controls. The rollout positioned Chain Reaction Cycles as a world class online retailer and supported its expansion to become the World’s Largest Online Bike store with reported growth to £200m revenue.
