In 2012, Chemline deployed Sage 500 ERP, formerly MAS 500, as its ERP Financial system, transitioning from QuickBooks to centralize accounting and inventory processes. The deployment established Sage 500 ERP as the companys primary ledger and transaction platform supporting financial controls and reporting.
Sage 500 ERP was configured to support General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory control, budgeting, and financial reporting workflows, with the Accounting Manager responsible for training and oversight of accounting staff. The implementation included new month end closing procedures, standardized journal entry and reconciliation processes, and a written accounting manual to codify controls and operational steps.
Operational coverage focused on the St Louis accounting function and extended to companywide process standardization, with the Accounting Manager acting as liaison to outside tax preparers, auditors, bankers, and legal representation. Key transactional activities executed through Sage 500 ERP included review and approval of vendor vouchers, sales invoicing and AR monitoring, payroll preparation, inventory audits and variance investigation, and cash flow forecasting.
Governance changes emphasized documented controls, standardized GL coding, and a revised close workflow, and the accounting team reported that these changes reduced month end close time by 50 percent and improved average AR days outstanding by 20 percent. The system was used for annual budget preparation, audit reporting, and to support evaluation and integration of potential acquisition targets.

In 2012, Chemline implemented HostGator to provide Application Hosting and Computing Services for its corporate website. HostGator serves as the primary hosting layer for Chemline's public facing site, providing web serving, domain name resolution, basic compute and storage for web assets, and managed email services needed to run the chemline.net presence. The deployment is focused on external web hosting rather than internal enterprise resource applications.
Operational responsibility is concentrated with Chemline's small IT and marketing teams, which use the HostGator control plane for DNS management, file transfer and SSL certificate administration consistent with Application Hosting and Computing Services deployments. This configuration centralizes website and email infrastructure with the hosting provider while Chemline retains content and configuration control through the provider's management interfaces.
