In 2020 Chobani implemented SAP S/4 HANA on Microsoft Azure to establish a unified ERP Financial platform. By December 2020 the company had finished that implementation and consolidated non-SAP workloads and applications onto Azure, aligning its cloud strategy with existing Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory.

Chobani and its partner configured an active active SAP HANA topology with SUSE Pacemaker Clusters and fencing API for node failover, HANA System Replication for database replication, Azure Load Balancer for network performance, and Azure Site Recovery for disaster recovery orchestration. The SAP Analytics Cloud implementation provides live operational reporting directly from SAP S/4 HANA without impacting production workloads.
Operational coverage initially prioritized North America with plans for regional expansion, and the project impacted IT infrastructure, finance, inventory and production analytics functions. Khoj Information Technology served as the implementation partner to configure high availability, test recovery procedures, and validate recovery point and recovery time objectives using Azure Site Recovery and HANA System Replication. Connectivity and hybrid integration were supported through Azure ExpressRoute and native Azure services to enable scalable instance provisioning and temporary test environments.
Governance included formal disaster recovery exercises and ongoing reliability testing to drive toward near zero downtime maintenance. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation on Azure produced a unified ERP Financial environment with improved uptime, instant scaling for business agility, the ability to run live reports from S/4 without production impact, and operational processes for recurring DR validation and capacity planning. Chobani continues to explore extensions such as AI, machine learning and Azure Logic Apps as part of its roadmap.

UKG Ready Accruals Manager was configured alongside Timekeeping and Attendance modules to support automated accrual generation, time off requests, leave administration and reporting features typical for Absence and Leave Management deployments.
Integrations were implemented using Dell Boomi with UKG connectors and API end points to exchange data with ADP Payroll, SAP SuccessFactors and badge and time clock systems, preserving payroll and badge synchronization. Operational coverage extended across HR, People operations, payroll and IT teams and supported Chobani manufacturing sites in New York, Idaho, Michigan and Australia as part of enterprise time and attendance orchestration.
Governance practices included SOX aligned role design, audit report creation and regular monitoring of daily and weekly issues. The IT Functional Analyst role supported troubleshooting, fit gap analysis, test case development and training documentation to sustain accrual rules, LOA processes and integrations, while partnering with People and Payroll teams for ongoing configuration and support.
