Oracle Legacy Oracle JD Edwards World ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Chromalox implemented Oracle JD Edwards World as its ERP Financial backbone. The deployment centralized core financial and transactional processes across procurement, accounts payable, invoicing, order acknowledgements, and pack slip generation. Configuration and functional scope emphasized custom document generation and program development within Oracle JD Edwards World. Chromalox used customizations for invoices, acknowledgements, purchase orders, pack slips, and accounts payable checks, with in-house development and external consultant coordination for specification, development, and testing. The JD Edwards World environment supported application debugging, new program design, and report development using SQL and Access Client Solutions. The implementation operated alongside IBM AS400 infrastructure and included automated Client Access data transfer processes to move data between systems. Cherwell was used as the ticketing and incident management tool to manage ERP support requests and to generate reporting for team performance. Cognos reporting was developed and updated from JD Edwards World data extracts to meet user requirements. Operational governance incorporated formal access change controls and quarterly security reviews for auditors, with all JD Edwards access change requests processed only after proper approvals. ERP support ownership included ongoing program maintenance, security reviews, escalation to outside vendors for document changes, and creation of Cherwell-based reports to track support metrics. The Chromalox Oracle JD Edwards World implementation therefore functioned as the central ERP Financial system, embedding application support, reporting, and security workflows into core finance and procurement operations.
