Functional configuration work was coordinated with Core HCM and Time and Labor to ensure consistent employee records, time-off interfacing, and policy-driven eligibility, with user stories and configuration tasks tracked through Jira as part of the Core module backlog.
Integration and operational coverage were delivered through cross-functional solutioning with IT, HR, and external vendors, with explicit program activity to define HR data retention, conversion, and reporting strategy. The Chubb program leadership engaged Deloitte leads as part of the governance cadence to coordinate design decisions and technical integration planning across regional teams.
Program governance emphasized weekly governance meetings, decision-making on system gaps and solutions, and coordinated change management activities. In 2016, Chubb USA implemented Guidewire BillingCenter as part of an Insurance Billing Administration initiative to standardize billing workflows across property and casualty lines. The Guidewire BillingCenter implementation was scoped to interact with Policy Center, Claim Center and Contact Manager, with requirements captured for Workers Compensation, Personal Auto and Commercial Property billing and verification processes.
The implementation covered functional modules for billing lifecycle orchestration, billing verification, and automated billing process initiation, with user stories, acceptance criteria and page level specifications captured through JAD and Scrum sessions. Business analysts translated BRDs into Functional Requirements Specifications and Technical Specifications using Rational RequisitePro, and produced system flow diagrams, activity diagrams and UI screen designs using Rational Rose and Microsoft Visio to guide configuration of Guidewire BillingCenter.
Integrations were defined with enterprise data sources and the enterprise data warehouse for data sourcing, profiling, mapping and cleansing, and data migration work leveraged Guidewire Data Hub for Policy Center data extracts. The project included logical and physical data modeling, data mapping projects tracked end to end, and coordination of data extraction from other source systems to support billing and policy record reconciliation.
Governance and delivery followed an iterative SDLC using Rational Unified Process artifacts alongside Agile Scrum ceremonies, with JAD workshops to capture field level specifications, story points and acceptance criteria. Testing and defect management used Quality Centre for requirements, test plans, test labs and defect tracking, with production and pre production defect analysis and remediation workstreams coordinated between business, testing and development teams.
