In 2015, Cignal TV implemented SAP Business One HCM to centralize Core HR operations across its Philippine HR organization. The deployment targeted recruitment and employee lifecycle management for an 800 employee media company, positioning SAP Business One HCM as the authoritative system for personnel master data and recruitment workflows.
The implementation configured core modules aligned to recruiting and onboarding functional flows, including an applicant tracking workflow driven by Manpower Requisition Forms and job description templates, structured interview scheduling and assessment capture, background and reference check tracking, onboarding checklists and new hire documentation, 201 file document management, probation and regularization monitoring, and formalized offboarding clearance routing. SAP Business One HCM was used to instrument role-based access for HR staff and hiring managers, and to support HR activities such as orientation facilitation and recruitment reporting.
Operational coverage focused on HR recruitment specialists, HR managers and department hiring managers, integrating day to day activities like resume screening, phone interviews, interview endorsements, collection of pre-employment requirements, and coordination of onboarding tools and announcements. The system consolidated the Applicant Tracker and master employee list to provide a single source for candidate status and employee records, and it supported routine HR meeting cadences such as recruitment alignment sessions.
Governance and workflow changes emphasized process standardization rather than technology only, with SAP Business One HCM enforcing formal MRF driven requisitioning, standardized assessment capture and endorsement handoffs, structured probationary regularization checks, and a documented offboarding clearance process. Recruitment specialists’ responsibilities for sourcing, screening, onboarding coordination and file maintenance were operationalized within the application to reduce manual tracking and to create auditable HR workflows.
