The deployment targeted consolidation of ledgers and the standardization of financial reporting workflows, with implementation activity coordinated under Agile delivery practices.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central configuration emphasized core financial modules consistent with ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial consolidation, and management and external reporting capabilities. The project included detailed data mapping from multiple ledgers to establish a common data model for management reporting and statutory external reporting, and configuration work to align charts of accounts and intercompany posting rules.
Integrations were explicitly scoped to support finance operations, including data exchanges with the Temenos T24 core banking environment and downstream access to Sybase and Oracle SQL stores used by subsidiaries. The implementation addressed multi-entity accounting and reconciliations, and supported a parallel HR and Payroll implementation project across the bank in three Baltic countries to ensure payroll accounting feeds and employee cost allocations were captured in the ERP Financial system.
Governance changes focused on establishing a single source of truth for financial data, formalizing data mapping and reconciliation processes, and instituting role based access for finance and reporting users.
