In 2011, City of Calgary implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as an ERP Financial solution. The engagement was led by Project Centre 1 Team and focused on PeopleSoft Financial and Supply Chain modules.
The technical scope included a PeopleSoft FSCM upgrade from 8.8 to 9.1 with PeopleTools upgraded across the application tier from 8.47 to 8.52. The HR side was provisioned through myHRConnect, the PeopleSoft HR Portal implemented on HR 9.1 with PeopleTools 8.53. Presentation layer work used HTML, CSS and XML within PeopleSoft to customize portals and transactional pages.
Deployment architecture centered on standard PeopleSoft tiering with application and presentation layer work driven by PeopleTools version alignment to support Financials, Supply Chain and HR capabilities. Operational coverage spanned central finance, procurement and human resources functions across City departments. The implementation integrated PeopleSoft FSCM and HR modules to establish a unified ERP Financial and HR operational surface.
Governance and rollout were managed by the Project Centre 1 Team with controlled PeopleTools upgrades and portal configuration to minimize cross-module disruption. Change management focused on module configuration, portal styling and XML interface adjustments in line with PeopleSoft configuration practices.
