Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to provide invoicing and payments finalization workflows used by the Customer Service Leader and front line staff. Functional configuration emphasized accounts receivable, billing, transactional posting, and financial audit trails consistent with ERP Financial applications.
Operational use spans customer service and parks and recreation, where staff interact with the application to finalize customer invoicing and payments for more than 100 organized events and tournaments that can accommodate upwards of 2,000 attendees. The Customer Service Leader coordinates with tournament directors and a team of 10 park recreational staff to align operational plans with billing and event accounting.
Governance centered on embedding financial transaction approval and invoicing workflows into day to day operations, shifting event reconciliation and guest service billing into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. The implementation links City of Irvine Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial business functions to customer billing, event finance, and municipal customer service operations.

In 2017, City of Irvine implemented CentralSquare Superion ONESolution as its municipal Government ERP. The CentralSquare Superion ONESolution deployment supported core municipal business functions including financial management, procurement, asset and public works management, and permitting workflows consistent with Government ERP use cases.
Operational architecture centered on Microsoft SQL Server databases managed for production, development, and testing, with versions maintained from 2000 through 2017. Database administration practices included development of maintenance plans, performance tuning, version upgrades, SQL Server mirroring and replication, and use of SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer. Data integration and reporting were executed through SSIS based ETL, T SQL stored procedures and views, custom Visual Basic applications, Crystal Reports and the Reportal reporting system.
CentralSquare Superion ONESolution was integrated into the City ecosystem alongside Lucity for public works asset management, GIS for spatial data, Tyler Eden Permits for permitting workflows, SIRE, and two factor authentication, enabling transactional and spatial data flows between permitting, asset management and financial ledgers. Governance and operational rollout were organized across segregated environments with DBA ownership of backups, upgrades, migrations, replication and performance monitoring. This configuration positioned CentralSquare Superion ONESolution as the core Government ERP supporting departmental workflows across finance, public works and permitting at City of Irvine.
