In 2025, the City of Surprise deployed Mark43 CAD as part of a broader Mark43 Public Safety Platform rollout for the Surprise Police Department. Mark43 CAD serves as the Computer Aided Dispatch component alongside the vendor supplied Records Management System and mobile tools, implemented to consolidate dispatch, records, and evidence workflows across the Arizona region.
The implementation configured core Computer Aided Dispatch capabilities including call taking, incident creation, and real-time automatic vehicle location mapping, while the Records Management System and mobile modules supported mobile reporting and evidence tracking workflows. Built-in NIBRS compliance was enabled within the Records Management System, and mobile tools were provisioned to improve field mobility and data capture at point of service.
Operational coverage focused on the Surprise Police Department within Arizona, representing the first Mark43 CAD deployment in the state. Governance centered on unifying dispatch, records, and evidence processes onto a single platform, streamlining cross functional workflows between dispatch operations, records clerks, and field personnel. The deployment delivered improved field mobility, real-time AVL mapping, and built-in NIBRS compliance to increase data quality and operational efficiency.
