In 2016, Co-Alliance implemented Agvance Accounting from Software Solutions Integrated as its core ERP Financial application to support agronomy, seed, grain and input operations across branch outlets in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. The deployment targeted seed business workflows and financial controls, establishing Agvance Accounting as the transactional and reporting backbone for point of sale, inventory valuation and billing functions.
Configuration focused on financial accounting ledgers, inventory control and point-of-sale reporting modules within Agvance Accounting, along with automated product and pricing imports. The implementation enabled electronic creation of delivery tickets from scanned seed items on iPhone and iPad devices that flow into invoice generation, and it expanded warehouse mobility by adopting the Agvance Sky Warehouse app for phone and tablet inventory transactions.
Integrations centered on industry standards rather than bespoke connectors, Co-Alliance consumed AgGateway standards and AGIIS identifiers to normalize product and location master data across trading partners. Electronic grower orders were exchanged with manufacturers and automated into Agvance Accounting, manufacturers returned electronic ship notices to secure inventory receipts, and handheld barcode scanning devices were used at branches to capture transactions and enforce inventory location accuracy.
Governance and process restructuring emphasized operability across seed, sales, warehouse and billing teams, with managers driving rollout from seed to other product areas. Reported outcomes tied directly to the implementation include shrink reduction to near zero, improved seed sales and inventory accuracy, more reliable point-of-sale reporting and quicker end-to-end order to shipment to billing cycles. Future plans described by Co-Alliance included extending electronic pricing and broader Warehouse app usage to further centralize inventory and pricing within Agvance Accounting.
