| SAP | Legacy | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Coats implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 in the ERP Financial category and replatformed its SAP HANA database to Microsoft Azure. The cloud-first deployment established four separate SAP ECC on HANA instances for North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, alongside a consolidated enterprise instance to support global financial and operational processing.
The implementation configured SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support core financial processing together with production planning, scheduling, and reporting workloads typical of an industrial manufacturer. Configuration emphasis was placed on accelerating planning cycles and shortening transactional and batch reporting windows, leveraging in-memory HANA performance characteristics within the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 environment.
Hosting SAP HANA on Azure is the primary infrastructure signal, and the architecture enabled near-real-time production planning changes that previously required overnight runs. Operational coverage spans Coats manufacturing and supply chain functions across multiple regions, enabling same-day factory production planning and the ability to insert rush orders into the production schedule within the same day rather than waiting 24 to 48 hours.
Coats reported significant outcome-level impacts tied directly to the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 on HANA in Azure deployment, including materially reduced transaction times and compression of report generation from six hours to six minutes. These performance improvements accelerated delivery of finished goods and sped up the companys production engine, improving customer service and delivery performance.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Coats implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off as part of a global SuccessFactors HRIS deployment. The implementation was carried out under HR Process and Systems leadership and targeted the companywide HR service delivery environment covering the firm’s global employee population and core HR processes. This deployment specifically incorporated SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off within a broader SuccessFactors footprint that included Employee Central, Time Off, Compensation and Succession modules.
Configuration work focused on standard Absence and Leave Management capabilities, with explicit configuration of workflows, business rules and security permission auditing. The team performed bulk uploads and bulk amends for employee and leave records, designed and executed UI configurations and custom notification templates, and completed functional and integration testing for time off processes. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off was configured to support reporting and auditing needs using inbuilt reporting tools and custom reports ranging from headcount to compensation related datasets.
Integrations and operational coverage were part of the scope, with integration setup performed to connect the SuccessFactors HRIS to adjacent talent and expense systems. The HRIS environment was integrated operationally alongside Cornerstone Performance and Learning Management functions and the Concur expense implementation that the HR team led for the UK business, enabling coordinated HR data flows and learning compliance tracking. Ongoing operational activities included global super admin tasks and quarterly upgrade reviews for connected learning and performance modules.
Governance and rollout followed a project path from RFP participation to hands on implementation, data migration and post go live support. Governance controls emphasized configuration of business rules, audit of security permissions and structured testing of notifications and reporting. The HR Process and Systems function retained ownership of reporting, system administration and periodic upgrades to sustain the Absence and Leave Management capability within SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Travel | Travel Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Coats implemented SAP Concur Travel. SAP Concur Travel is a Travel Management application deployed as part of a broader finance transformation program to enhance existing SAP systems and introduce complementary technologies to meet regulatory requirements at Coats Plc. The deployment targeted corporate travel and expense workflows and was positioned to support finance and travel management business functions across the organization.
The implementation configured core Travel Management capabilities including travel booking orchestration, employee expense reporting, multi-tier approval workflows, and policy enforcement controls. Configuration work emphasized electronic receipt capture and mobile expense submission, structured expense report audit trails, and controls designed to align travel and expense processing with month end finance activities.
SAP Concur Travel was implemented in parallel with Microsoft System Center Service Manager and BlackLine, and integrated into Coats' enhanced SAP landscape for financial posting and reconciliation. Governance for the rollout established cross-functional ownership between finance, procurement, and travel teams, with change control coordinated through the central finance transformation program to ensure regulatory compliance and consistent operational processes.
